Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre Hamala (BARC)
Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre says they are all about “Where animals aren’t just rescued….they’re Reborn”.
Who are the Bahrain Animal Rescue Centre?
The main role of the Centre, is the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and abandoned animals in Bahrain. There are currently close to 350 dogs and close to 200 cats all in need of loving care. The number of incoming animals is ever increasing, especially during these unsettled times and very hot summer months.
They continue their efforts to educate children and adults in the proper care of animals.
There are fund raising events and participate at fairs, school festivals, charity sales etc organized by BARC to help with the running costs of the rescue centre. They have links with local schools that often set up fund raising projects to collect food or help out at the centre as part of Community Service programs.
They offer an adoption service or a sponsorship program to meet the needs of each animal looking for a new home and welcome volunteers to walk, pet and play with the animals.
If you would like to volunteer, to walk dogs, or socialize with the animals then message them to book slots to come along on Friday/Saturday between 10 AM and 1 PM.
