HOW TO MAKE THE BREAD GULAB JAMUN RECIPE:

Time needed: 30 minutes

Making the bread gulab jamun recipe can be broken down into these 5 steps.

  1. Blend Bread to Powder

Firstly, after cutting off the edges of the bread slices, blend to powder-like breadcrumbs.

  2. Kneed the Dough and Keep aside for 5 mins

Add 3-4 tbsp of milk powder and a tbsp of cream. Kneed the bread dough a little. After that, add warm milk little by little till you knead it to a smooth and soft dough.

  3. Make small balls from the dough

After greasing the hands, make tiny balls from the dought. Make it smaller than your desired size because as you fry it, it becomes fluffier. Cover, keep aside and shift to the next preparation.

  4. Fry the small balls of dough

Heat the oil or ghee on low flame to medium flame and when it is moderately hot, fry the jamuns. Fry the balls on low flame till they turn golden brown.

  5. Soak In Syrup & Cook

Immediately after the previous step, drop the hot jamuns into hot sugar syrup. Boil the sugar syrup for a minute after you add fried jamuns.

  6. Leave to cool

Keep aside for some time, atleast half an hour.
Now, the soft and sweet gulab jamuns have doubled in size.

  7. Serve & Enjoy!

Serve warm with ice cream. You can also serve it cold after refrigeration, garnished with finely sliced nuts.
